Great 5 mile run tonight. I’ve been getting extremely bored running my same old routes. The roads on the Kansas side just seem flatter, newer, better so I ran right after work on a route I’ve been eyeing for awhile. Flat for the most part and only one major incline and another long gradual incline. I also tried running in my Asics Kayanos again. I bought these a few months ago but the first time I ran in them, they seemed so heavy. Apparently just needed broken in.
Goal: 5 mi / 8:15-8:20 pace
Actual: 5 mi / 40:30 / 8:06 avg pace
I FINALLY ENDED A RUN WITH NEGATIVE SPLITS!!! :)

The last two miles under 8:00 - oh hell yes!
